What is the correct amount of medium?

The optimal amount is about 24 oz. of dry coco coir. Although we suggest adding a little bit of water to the medium we have found that the drier the medium the more uses you can get out of it but your toilet paper would not break down very easily. Having a little bit of moisture can help with the toilet paper mixing and with fine dusty medium if its too dry.
