If your OGO™ ORIGIN was manufactured before August 2022, there’s a chance it has the original timer model—which has since been upgraded. If you’re experiencing power issues or inconsistent operation, the old timer could be the cause.
The Problem With the Original Timer
The original timer worked as intended—until it didn’t.
It lacked short-circuit protection. So if the toilet was accidentally wired with reversed polarity (positive to negative, negative to positive), the timer would internally short out and fail completely. This issue was rare but serious enough to lead to sudden power loss or non-responsiveness.
Symptoms of a Failed Original Timer
You might have this issue if:
-
The motor or fan doesn’t activate
-
The timer appears dead despite a good power source
-
The toilet only works in semi-automatic mode
-
All wiring appears correct, but the unit won’t run
If these signs sound familiar—and your unit is from before August 2022—you’re likely dealing with a damaged original timer.
Temporary Fix: Semi-Auto Mode
If you need a short-term workaround while waiting for a replacement timer, unplug the green wire from the timer. This bypasses the start-trigger signal and allows your OGO™ to operate in semi-automatic mode.

The New Timer: Smarter, Safer, Better
To solve the issue, we partnered with Poly Electronics – Custom Electronics in Elkhart, Indiana to produce a new timer designed specifically for the OGO™.
