How to Realign the Hinge Pin on Your OGO™ ORIGIN Compost Toilet
If your OGO™ ORIGIN lid feels off-center or wobbly, it’s probably just a slightly misaligned hinge pin—and it’s a super simple fix.
What You’ll Need
-
A small hammer or mallet
-
A flat surface
-
Maybe a bit of patience (but not much)
Quick Fix Steps
-
Check the Pin Position
Look at both ends of the hinge pin. If one side is sticking out more than the other, it needs to be centered. -
Tap It Back Into Place
Use a small hammer or mallet to gently tap the longer end of the pin. Go slow—small taps are better than one big hit. -
Even It Out
Keep tapping until the pin is evenly seated on both sides of the hinge. The lid should now move freely without shifting side to side.
That’s It
Your hinge pin is back in place, your lid’s back to smooth operation, and your compost throne is fully functional again. No disassembly, no stress.
