If one side is sticking out more than the other, it needs to be centered. 2. **Tap It Back Into Place** Use a small hammer or mallet to gently tap the longer end of the pin. Go slow—small taps are better than one big hit. 3. **Even It Out** Keep tapping until the pin is evenly seated on both sides of the hinge.
