How Does the NOMAD Manage Odor Without Chemicals or Power
The secret is in the separation. The NOMAD uses OGO’s patented urine diversion system to keep liquids and solids separate. This is the most effective way to reduce odor—far more than chemicals or flushing.
Here’s how it works:
-
Liquids are directed into a front bottle
-
Solids fall into the back of the bin into composting medium
-
No mixing = no sewage smell
With the proper layering method (compost medium → waste → more medium), odor stays minimal, and cleanup stays easy. Read More About Layering.
